Walks in Rotherham

Roche Abbey

The Rotherham Walks database has been updated. For a town which isn’t well known for it’s countryside and woodlands there are a wide variety of walks which range from as little as a quarter of a mile, to a heartier 5 miles.

Rotherham is a big town which is well spread out but we’ve got all the boroughs covered with a mini walk for health in pretty much every area, as well as woodland and countryside walks in most of the outlying villages.

These walks will take you past landmarks such as The Chapel on The Bridge, Clifton Park, Roche Abbey, The Needle’s Eye and more.

Even better, we’ve done a lot of these and will be posting reports in the ramble vault shortly including walks and tips.

So, if you fancy casual rambling in Rotherham, why not check out some of the town’s history in the town centre, or the picturesque villages on the outskirts of this sprawling town.
